This is the cover for the second volume of
Of Bitter Souls, Chuck Satterlee and Norm Breyfogle's ongoing series about magic & mysticism set in New Orleans (this collection is all-zombies, I'm told), published by Markosia. I thought I'd snap a few pics to record my process, but as usual, I took one at the beginning of the painting and forgot to take any more until I was finished.
So here you go; this is how I go from start to finish in 3 easy steps! Haha.
This layout/cover design is by no means official; I just slapped the logo on there for kicks.
It would be nice if I had the means/time to photograph stuff like this for reproduction! Scanning really flattens out the paint textures.
